Max Respect is a County Council initiative that was launched in 2002 to promote and reward good behaviour on home to school travel. It had been noticed at the time that children were not treating the bus or taxi correctly and needed to be reminded that the roads are dangerous and need to be treated with respect, Max Respect!
You may have seen the Max Respect Officer in your school giving lessons on how to behave and stay safe, but did you know that Max Respect does much more than that:
- Several competitions are held every year to promote safety on school transport, the Art and Design competition was held recently and you can see the winners of this year’s competition by clicking on the link on the right hand side of the screen!
- We teach bus and taxi drivers to respect school children and make sure they drive safely every day!
- We work with the police and other organisations to make sure we tackle any anti social behaviour on buses!
- And much much more!
Max Respect isn't just for children, it works with schools, parents and bus operators to make sure that we are doing everything possible to keep your journey safe and enjoyable for everyone.
In recent years the initiative has achieved great success in reducing problems with behaviour on board taxis and buses and has received widespread acclaim for its contribution to child safety in Lincolnshire.
